@D1 you're not type A, you just try too hard.
@D1 you are fulfilling the Deloitte and Douchebag stereotype stop it!
You thought you were a Type A, but that was a college level perception. Consulting Type As can get shit down by advising or cutting through most of the bullshit, i.e. Not needing 100% utilization to get ahead
Lol I knew someone would make this comment. I've been here 5 years and yes I know that you don't actually need 100% utilization. It was just a hyperbole. Regardless, most of it is still BS and I need to work on an exit strategy.
I have 100% utilization. Plus on 3 initiative and have a networking lunch 1-2 times a week (one as mentor and one as mentee). Does this make me type A? Haha I still enjoy my weekends and vacations, but I actually thrive in a high stress environment
Well this thread explains why there is more to life then I measuring stick. Good for you OP, find and enjoy happiness.
And then they starts year end process and all of us start looking at our utilization and firm activities again. Then promise ourselves we will be different and then comes mid year
@D1 Lol yes, you sound like type A. Everyone has something different that makes them happy. Don't let anyone [in this thread] tear you down for working hard to be successful and liking it. I used to love this job, but getting older is making me rethink my priorities. 🙂
@D3 Thank you!
