I thought Y/M/B class tickets get instant upgrades if you are 1K on United. Is that not the case? I bought an economy class B ticket and it’s just booked as economy. Do I need to do something to get upgraded on this automatically? It was 50% more than the cheapest economy ticket l.

I’m a former forensic scientist that left the field several years ago. I recently received a subpoena from a case I worked and suggested to DA to have evidence re-worked by the lab or stipulation. If I am required to testify (as an expert witness), I would need to book a flight, hotel, etc. My question is this: can I ask for my requested hourly rate, travel, and hotel to be covered when speaking with DA or is that “not how this works” as the investigator put it?

And then sometimes you don't even know how to cite something, and how are you supposed to know that unless you ask someone who knows?
