Thinking about getting into valuations. Anyone have any insights about this path in Big4 and in industry? Specifically I’m wondering: 1) what’s the scope of work like at Big 4? (Is the service line split into industry sector groups, or do some groups do Valuation for tangibles and another does intangibles) 2) how are the hours like? Working 9am - 3am consistently? 3) what exit opportunities exit after the Big 4 experience? 4) how does Compensationfor HCOL seniors/ manager look this year?
Can you legally start a new job during your two week notice period? I won’t be on a project and would be ok if they asked me to just leave right away. But want to offer the two weeks as courtesy.
Grateful for my support system. I burst into tears during a zoom call with a project leader today. He said the sweetest thing anyone ever said to me in years. A quick catch-up turned into a therapy session.
Intern here: Legit getting abused by the SC on my project. Should I raise this issue to my manager or just continue to suck it up for my remaining time?
Digitas half of your management isn't suited for the role and has no earthly clue what they're doing. What. A. Mess.
I received an offer from KPMG as an advisory associate (75k), and a second one from Grant Thornton as a transformation consultant (70k). Im leaning towards the KPMG position, however I’m wondering about salary negotiations; the Grant Thornton position is in a state where cost of living is 15% cheaper than that of KPMG, and I am also in the process of obtaining my MBA (one more semester left). Any way I can leverage/utilize this information to negotiate a higher salary with KPMG?
Starting to get more involved in the project sales process - any recommendations for books or resources to develop skills in this area?
Need advice... I am currently a functional lead with limited knowledge of technology. I have around 15 years of experience and generally play a Scrum Master role in various projects. I’ll be hopefully promoted to Manager in next 3 months I want to upscale myself. I am planning to study microservices, APIs and cloud computing, to stay relevant and employable in near future. Is it worth pursuing technical skills at such stage of my career? I am willing to put efforts in right area.
I am on H4EAD. Can I travel to Puerto Rico for project work ? Anyone one h1/h4 visa recently traveled to Puerto Rico ? How was the experience and any immigration related formalities due to COVID ?
A pharma client requires a urine drug test. Will my ADHD meds make me test "positive"? If so, is there a chance to provide my prescription to a medical officer to clarify? (cont)
Looking to switch to consulting from FMCG into ACN Strategy. Have an offer with decent hike in pay, but unsure of what the culture/workstream/ project types are going to be. Any insight towards this is appreciated..

When you're on the bench too long waiting for your next engagement to kick off, anyone else reminded of the opening sequence from "Apocalypse Now!"? Might just be me...
All right, which one of you created this checklist / flowchart for my client to put in every restroom stall?
Lol my firm halted all sales travel but continued client travel. Just waiting for someone to get sick so I can sleep in my own bed for more than 8 nights a month
Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
first client project - I’m the only associate on a team of Managers and seniors and I feel like I keep screwing up even the most minor things. I feel like they all hate me now and not sure how to fix
Thoughts on hiring a personal trainer vs getting a ClassPass? For context I’m on a travel project and am looking for the best way to get in shape
Does it feel like basically our only exit op is operations work to anyone else? I’ve been interviewing for 6+ months now and these are the roles I’m getting steered toward. I want to stay far away from ops & risk tho so I keep turning them down cuz it’s just so damn boring

MBB folks, what’s the salary range for a Analyst (or equivalent level in consulting)? Curious how high the salary could be for an experienced hire.
I'm an account lead and we're just hemorrhaging staff on this client. I don't see how we're going to keep the business and I'm pretty convinced I'll be blamed because my agency is a toxic dump. Ugh.
Any Infor consultants here? Interested in learning more about comp, culture, work life, etc.
Feel silly reaching out here but would love some perspective. I want to understand how much cash to keep. Currently have $305k in a Marcus account that’s earning nothing. It’s split between emergency and longer term savings. I’ve been thinking about opening a Marcus robo advisor brokerage to put some in to get better returns than the 0.05% HYSA. Any help would be great.
Hi all! Looking for advice! Im starting at an MBB out of undergrad (interned at D). Met my cohort and coworkers tonight at happy hour. Everyone’s super nice but I can’t help but feel drained. A partner probably noticed that I was nervous and actually pulled me aside to tell me it’s ok etc. I’m obv grateful for the opportunity but just worried i will be seen as too introverted or not confident enough and be a problem in front of clients. My MBTI type is also “not consultant-y”. Any advice? TIA!
My wife doesn’t invest her money in stocks, mutual funds , CDs. She just has a 401k and all her savings go into a savings account which basically yields nothing. I coax her into investing and have often told her about inflation over the years and lower of compounding but she is too scared that investing would take her money away. You guys have similar issues and how have you dealt with it ?
I have PCOS. I’m looking to get pregnant and need a physician who specializes in PCOS/high risk pregnancies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Preferably a minority doctor.
What is a typical or “good” salary for Senior Consultants across different companies? Preferably within Human Capital Deloitte? KPMG? EY? Accenture? PwC?
Can Accenture 🐠 share the culture and project types in the Finance Strategy offering? Is this a pure strategy or? Saw a position and am interested to learn more! Thanks for sharing!
Got an offer in PA for a Manager position for 120k. Currently making 90k - is it worth leaving? Same job details except at EY, I’m a Senior 2 and up for a Manager promotion in October 2022.. 🤦🏻♂️
Any guidelines on how long your resume should be when applying to industry or consulting firms? For e.g., for every x years, that’s an additional resume page.
