This is stupid
💡You’re probably allowed to use your words. Ask the client.
A.T. Kearney 1
Unclear question.
1) Was it your monitor to use at the client site?
2) Why are you sitting in a spot other than your assigned workspace if you are an auditor?
3) Is there a union contract to move equipment at the client? You would get in trouble in that case.
4) If more than a couple of weeks, are you planning on notifying your client contact you are using it elsewhere so the asset inventory hammer doesn't potentially hit you?
Or, you know, you could just ask. KPMG also provides travel monitors.
You're screwed. You on Army?
Yes.
That could be a union protected job to move anything in the office and that would cause the union to go ballistic. I’d move it back.
I was in a company where this was the case and sliding over to the next cube had to be done by a union mover
This is nuts!
I’m also surprised that consultants are treated without any respect at clients.
Even if this is a fire worthy crime- shouldn’t HR be involved? Shouldn’t someone from the client side have a word and discuss the matter?
There actually are rules for equipment and space and I had a client at ICE who ensured we all had our own cubes, but many clients don't give a shit about us and our leadership doesn't want to piss the clients off.
We are contractors, we don’t get a say in anything. We are there to provide a service and assist the client.
If you have a problem with your workspace, bring it up to your leadership and they can discuss it with the contract rep.
For reference, in my team there’s 7 of us in an office meant for 1 person. Welcome to consulting
What do you mean by moved?
Was the monitor moved to a different side of the desk? Or was the monitor taken from the room to a new workspace?
well I'm lost here. Why would this even better at all? I move things around all the time
Game over. Lol, don’t sweat it grasshopper
1.Not a union protected desktop monitor 🙄
2.4 of us sit in the same office meant for one. Apparently the office is used by auditors and so we were asked to move
3. I took the monitor along since it was not connected to anything and it will benefit the team ultimately the client?!?
