You would be surprised at the basic professionalism some candidates lack, especially new grads. Clear, concise communication without the use of AI is important. Don't be late, prepare for your interview. Honestly just nail the common sense stuff and your interviewer will be happy.

Learn a little about what the organization is doing and what is a business priority. Being prepared also means researching the organization - service area, latest news, projects/grants, leadership, etc. You don't have to memorize the website; just find something about the organization and speak to how it aligns with what you want to do if hired.
I always appreciate when someone comes prepared, ready to ask questions, and brings a copy of their resume. You wouldn't believe how many people come completely unprepared for an interview. Professionalism goes a long way.
