I know how you feel. For me personally, I always felt that I was never able to advance in existing position, but when applied else where I was able to get the job and next level. So perhaps that is one way you can tell? Have you applied outside of your existing company at next level up?
Your career is a journey, and everything related to it has ebbs and flows. People are quick to share their successes online, and failures/rejection aren’t normalized. I’m sure there are many people who feel the same as you, and many of those who you consider successful also likely struggle from impostor syndrome. So you are not alone in your feelings.
That being said, if you feel that you are not good enough, then work on the things that will make you good enough, whether it’s actually learning a new skill or changing your mindset. Adopt a growth mindset and lean into your strengths. Consider what “good enough” means to you, what it means in the context of what you want to become, and what it means to those in your peer group.

I went the technical route because I just felt that a lot of work in consulting if its not directly strategy or M&A is basically administrative work.
I am about to turn 27, and what I have found is that if you are really good at a particular thing then you should utilize it as much as possible and do things that your co-workers don’t. I have found that doing this has allowed me to make an impressive resume with bad companies on it.
