I’m considering leaving Google to go work at a startup, I’m wondering if things don’t work out how easy it’d be to come back to Google. I’d love to hear from people who returned to Google how the process was. Does the company value your previous tenure at Google, or do they treat you like any external candidate who never worked at Google before?

Guys there’s this boot camp that I came across that trains people to get jobs in Top consulting firms and has a fee plan wherein you pay once you get placed. I just wanted to know if someone here has any experience with this ?

Doesnt it depend on how much business they bring?
Whatever the market they serve, I would assume a partner who generates 15 million will be better compensated than the one who only generates 5.
I would think about how hard it is to generate new business in an industry. I spent some time in HC. The HC partners I worked with did not do any marketing. They were just picking up the phone and couldn't handle additional clients.
Got it. Thank you KPMG1.
Partners are paid based on their shares

At the firms I've worked for, there's no difference by service line within consulting, though at firms that also have audit/tax arms, there's a difference there though I'm unsure of the specific differences.
Pay depends on the number of shares we get, or whatever standard measure firms use for partner compensation. There are a number of variables that determine the number of units we get, but service line doesn't play into it in my experience.
