Can anyone provide an honest summary of the bench policy? I’ve heard everything from 2-10 weeks

How many of you guys recently joined and currently on bench?

I’ve been on the bench with J1 for about 3 months. I was worried that because I couldn’t find another project, I would get laid off so I found J2, which pays more, is very meeting heavy, but I really like. I’ve kept J1 because I’m still on the bench doing absolutely nothing and getting paid. Thinking about looking for a role on a project with J1 that’s not along my career path but will allow for me to do work with no calls so that I can manage both jobs. Does anyone have experience or advice?

Joined Capgemini engineering in February,Its been 4 months since i am on bench ,till now got opportunity to get interviewed by one client only and they too were not able to take me in due to their internal issue. I got offer from cognizant for skills appium(mobile testing), selenium. My yoe is 2.8 yrs. Designation is PA. DOJ is 29th dec. So are they projects in cognizant for testing or they will keep on bench. And projects are more of manual or automation testing

She has been on the bench for 2 months and was informed that there has been a shortage of jobs (within the job) and the amount of people on the bench is getting high.
