I was laid off and applied for this company that hires individuals with a bruised background. I went through 3 interviews, reference check and signed the offer. I start the role in a month and I’m having second thoughts…. I know the market is brutally and I have interviewed with over 30 companies. My concerns are truly safety…. I’m a young woman who’s fairly attractive and there is no security on site. we have to work with all different felons including murders etc. I don’t think I feel safe…..

After 6 years of temporary contracts and unstable situations, I find my dream job in my dream company. All of a sudden the world goes upside down and I get laid off. I start sending hundreds of applications, with only 2 recruiters getting back to me to say I don’t have experience for the job (this is how it works in Italy). Add a terrible health situation in my family and it seems there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. Ugh. 😞
