I was only at my last consulting job (gov contractor) for 8 months before being let go due to shifting priorities and reduced resources at my firm, following DOGE-related policy cuts. I was offered a chance to find another internal contract but couldn’t. On my resume, should I add a brief note or asterisk under the job title to explain the short tenure and avoid potential negative recruiter bias towards short stints? Or is it better to leave it unaddressed and let my resume speak for itself?

How many YOE do you have in total or how many other experiences do you have? If this is your only one then I recommend adding in a sentence or in parentheses (Layoff due to DOGE)

In your opinion which is the best target fund to choose in IRA Roth?

Any good wedding ring sources aside from Blue Nile?

Currently maxed Roth 401k, Roth IRA, HSA, and ESPP at 23 YO, should I consider an after-tax conversion? I’ve read about back-door Roths but I’m still far below the income limit as an analyst. Definitely looking into early-ish retirement, should I just invest the rest in a regular brokerage account until I reach the income limit? Am I even allowed to do a conversion? Any advice is helpful :)
