I work on the brand side now and want to apply for a role at a direct competitor... anything I should watch out for?

Advice for someone having their first annual review? I have been well exceeding my role and am going to negotiate for a higher pay raise.

Has anyone here renegotiated their salary after a short time being in a role? I accepted a position and I like what I do but I realize that the workload requires a lot to see success and I feel a bit burned out already with my 40 hours/week and occasional extra 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. Beginner here. I'm trying to use my points to buy a flight to Puerto Rico. If Delta costs me 55k points on my Amex (valued at $600 per Points Guy), versus United which costs me 60k points (valued at $700), shouldn't I still just go with the Delta cause I'm spending less points?
