Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?
Has anyone set up a template follow-up email?

For me it's the long hours and never "turning off"
Made a huge difference for me when I switched firms. More than I expected. Long hours are easier now.

Lateraled twice. I figured out the main issue I have with big law is me. I am apparently good at this job but I can't help but be triggered by it.

I lateraled to one of the “nice tech firms” and although it’s still big law, people are generally MUCH nicer. Makes the long hours easier.
The hours suck no matter what, but the kindness is what keeps me at my current firm despite all the lateral signing bonuses.
