Going for my first switch, and got offer from CTS with 11.5 ctc as etl tester.
My lwd is jan 2nd.
I got trained in Selenium in java and i think my selenium concepts/understandings are good, need some brush up on testng.
So is it advicable to kick start and brushup Selenium+ TestNG concepts in 1 month and go for automation role interviews as i dont have experience in realtime automation projects. Good or bad idea?

Have cleared HCL interview. Initially they offered 23 lpa (via proposed offer letter, to be approved by L4), but i requested to reconsider it for 25 lpa. After 5 days, they sent final offer letter of 19 lpa (stating they can offer max 50% as per L4 approval).

I’m a non-TX immigration attorney mentoring a UT student who went to my undergrad. He’s done incredibly well in OCI and pre-OCI. Thus far, he’s landed interviews with (all in Houston): Baker Botts, Sidley Austin, Kirkland, Winston Strawn, Reed Smith, Norton Rose, and Locke Lord. Also Perkins Coie in Dallas. He’s leaning transactional, but also open to litigation. Any insights/advice on these firms in the TX market? Any to avoid?

I got selected in Infosys and offer was about to get release today but at last minute suddenly today infy HR told I was interviewed 5 months 20 days before in infosys so they cannot proceed now as 6 months cool off period. Today, I was looking through other bowls and see comments like: “Anyone tired of chasing money?” “Is it just me or as I get older do you realize how little awards and accolades mean?” And I’m reminded of how grateful I am to have my hope in something other than my work. I hope my coworkers see that in me, too. That I work hard but advertising is not what fulfills me.

I’m a first generation professional and have been in this industry for only a few years. Anyone have an suggestions for dealing with discouragement and burnout? It’s been challenging trying to maintain career optimism and figure out my career with little guidance while also trying to be an encouragement to burnt out colleagues when I’m already feeling weary.
