How about hotels and businesses start paying a living wage and stop relying on using tip shaming on customers
^This.
Nope
I wish they’d just let you add it to your folio. You can get reimbursed for tips so I think nearly everyone would do it if you could.
Yeah I would tip by adding it to the overall bill, but points are my hard earned assets
Yes they should make it easy to tip, add it to the app or folio.
Damn. I think you're on to something.
Why not expand the Uber/Lyft ratings system to tipping?
If you can make the App really easy to use, so that whenever you check out it shows you the people you interacted with -- and every night you get a certain amount of "points" to divide amongst the staff. At no cost to you, but its Capped, so you can just give all the points to all the people.
This way, Hotel Management can quicky see which people are making a big impression on most of their guests.
The trick is, how to make it very easy for the User.
Do you mean that they'd rather have the Cash physically in hand Today because they're living paycheck to paycheck? I figured they'd care about getting these "employee points" because that translates to Cash Bonus at year end. Now that I think about it, no reason the Company can't add that on extra to your paycheck every pay period.
No. Not hard to find an ATM.
No. Sounds convoluted and like a good way for the hotel to shirk its employees. I’ll continue to tip by cash and expense the tips (although I do also tip when traveling privately).
It would be at a shit valuation anyways.
Why would a hotel worker want your points? I’m hoping they already receive decent discounts.
Brilliant idea, though.
As soon as I start getting tips for performing my job.
