If I didn’t get a chance to negotiate an offer when the recruiter called to give me an offer, can I still negotiate once I see the offer letter?

Absolutely. You can pretty much negotiate up until the moment you sign the contract. Whether or not they accept your negotiation is a different matter.

Of course. In fact you should because the offer is usually at the lower end of the range. The last time I took the salary in the offer letter was a disaster. Shortly after starting, I discovered my salary was barely in the 50th percentile for my position. It affected my attitude for the remainder of my time there because I was overworked, underpaid, and bullied. I’m convinced the lack of respect was because I accepted a lowball offer.

The pay that I make now is only $12. I need a little bit more money than that that’s why I’m looking for another job. Anything that pays $23 an hour for security job that be great you’ve been working for the city. I just need a little bit of help. Have a new résumé and it’s been six and it will tell you what I am qualified for thank you God bless.

Definitely! Never too late (unless you’ve signed lol)

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?

When I negotiated my comp, all my discussions were around me being a junior and I only accepted my comp for that reason (would not have accepted if I was step above junior since it was low). Negotiations happened with HR, but my offer letter and documents never mention junior (but I have proof from HR saying I am a junior). How do I approach this with my boss as I’m not sure she’s aware I’m actually technically a junior? Revolving around asking for a move up + raise

Currently I work for a small company that does the construction of small cell utility poles and roof top sites for the major cell carriers like VZW, T-mobile, AT&T and so on. I am a project coordinator but I do everything under the sun. Created project tracker. Submitti bids, sourcing material, negotiating price on materials, handling post construction inspections, scheduling sub contractors, notifying stakeholders, coordinating with construction managers - property owners - building management.

Anyone ever pay for a prep service for an interview with Amazon or any other FAANGs for a non tech role?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.
