If I find a remote job does that mean I can work from pretty much any state or am I limited by any restrictions? Does anyone have an idea about how this works?

Does anyone know whether there’s a red tape type reason an associate couldn’t transition to fully remote in another state? I work in New York office but team based in Charlotte office so already technically remote but considering a move to a state where we don’t have an office. Partner wouldn’t care so wondering if there’s potential admin/tax issues.

It’s looking like my job is gonna start asking us to return to the office. We have an open office plan and before we wfh FT I would save all my work for my telework days bc I can’t get shit done in the office. I’m having major anxiety about them making this decision. Tough time getting past final step: I’ve been trying to make a career shift for 10 months now and continue to get rejected at the last step. Im confident in the value I can provide and do well at presenting it. So I used to work for a company where my job was good, was a director of business solutions for a fashion brand. Only issue was that the CFO micromanaged and ended up leaving. My background is digital transformation however I took an infrastructure position to rebuild a provincial healthcare system. I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.
