You should feel untold guilt for leaving in busy season you monster. 😂
Good call. The raises will suck evermore in industry.
Increase?
Whatever number you leave for you better be happy with, because it will only increase by 2% for the rest of your time in industry.
financial analyst is such a vague term and could mean anything usually it means entry level. i wouldn’t expect a pay increase.
Great question. I’m in the same spot right now. Currently at $60k looking at a position with awesome benefits and bonus, but they said they’re looking at $65k. I feel like the jump would only be worth it at $75k or higher. What’s your situation look like?
The job I’m looking at is at a PE firm. Not sure if the increases work similar to industry, but the recruiter and interviewer made it seem as if they’re a lot higher than 2%.
Agree with advisory associate. Sounds like you're switching from tax to financial analyst role, so you can expect whatever the entry level pay is in your market / industry.
