Wrong question.
“What are some marketable skills I can learn that some random dude can’t bullshit through in a day?”
The real LPT is always in the comments
LOL yeah, probably. But why not just learn it now instead of planning time to procrastinate?
“Planning time to procrastinate” LOL
You can learn the basics but you definitely won't be good at it.
Dude/Lady-dude,
As someone proficient in SQL, Tableau, Power BI and others (we call this business intelligence) - it’s not the software, but the data interpretation. That’s to say cool you know how to make a visual, but can you understand my data? interpret with the right visual (quant vs qual)? and visually storytell it to exec level interpretation fir either cost or resource leveraging?
Also, anyone with Microsoft licensing has Power BI built in now. Other than that, Looker is becoming the new hotness.
For a quick 48 buildup - Tableau has many threads on understanding Q&A from basic dashboarding to API integration to workbook Sharepoint integration. Good luck.
Keep bullshitting with the best of us
Yeah
Why don’t you start learning now?!
Pro
Kinda. You’re not going to be as familiar with “how” to exactly do everything. You can probably hit on the concepts though. I.e. grouping and sets, dashboard best practices, live data sources vs extracts.
Rising Star
I don't think so.
For those recommending me to learn, any tips on where to start (e.g., a course you recommend)? Current and foreseeable project work does seem to have any opps.
What advanced courses did you go through A1? Curious because I am looking to skill up
it’s just pivot tables
Power BI is basically a pivot table
So, you can learn SQL in two days?
