Are there any gym rats here? Would you consider someone who can bench 315 for 6 reps, squat 525 lbs, deadlift 550 lbs, at 210 lbs bodyweight to be a) weak b) average c) strong d) very strong or e) insanely strong + you think theyre on steroids?
On the bench this week, have PTO Friday, but have already mentally checked out and it’s not even noon on Monday. I feel guilty about not feeling guilty. I just had to say it to all the randoms on FB.
What is everyone doing to keep busy if you’re on the bench? Honestly hard to study when I’m not sure if I’ll be able to take exam in foreseeable future due to current circumstances.
I haven’t had a recruiter reach out to me in a while 😔 feeling very dejected since I’m also on the bench.
How's the bench look for OT&T?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Day two of being on Bench... Seeing others who have been on bench for 12 weeks... Fee pretty relaxed!! #EarnedDowntime
Who should I trade for? 12 team standard league. Feel like I have too much depth on the bench (Elijah Mitchell, Julio, diante Johnson, devonta smith) to not make a trade. I’m thinking I would probably be open to trading for a top tier wr, Rb, or tight end. Or even consider trading for a middle of the pack tight end.
How long do you think you can sit on the bench before quitting when you have another job with a flexible start?
ACN Strat: how common is it for people to be let go? Be it being on bench too long, performance, etc. Seems it’s a common thing at some firms
Up vote this post if you are "on the bench" right now and here to fill the voids of nothingness in your working day!
Chargeable bench time is the best bench time
Thinking about reporting my SM for retaliation. He has shown a pattern of giving negative feedback to those who try to roll off his project. Any advice/recommendations?
Has anyone here kept their old job when starting a new one? On the bench now and kind of will be for the foreseeable future. Starting a new job next month. Kinda just wanna see how long I can stay on the bench lol
Any Layoffs at Deloitte in SAP today? Also, what is the current bench % in SAP/ Enterprise Performance.
Is any accounting firm sponsoring for an H1B visa in tax or audit? I joined KPMG 5 years ago and heard that they quit doing so after that.
Is the interview process to get into IBD harder or easier than top consulting firms like BCG/McKinsey/Bain? Where do the truly smart people work nowadays?
What are the levels at plante moran? I have a friend interviewing for a VP level position?
What would be the fixed salary slab for Director 1 (1st yr) in KPMG business consulting?
$1.5M client and new “profitability tool” showing %0 profit. Credit split 50/50 btw 20 year attorney/equity partner (JEP) and a much more senior/connected EP (SEP). Both SEP and JEP developed separate workstreams unrelated to the other. SEP‘s was terminated 3 years ago and only accounts for $200K trail off of the $1.5M. SEP’s salary is 3 times JEP’s. Profitability tool “costs” are not transparent, suspect SEP’s high salary is a factor. Anything (other than typical overhead) to ask about?
I have managed and implemented Oracle projects for the last 10 years. I am a PMP, CSCP and PSM certified. I am looking for a change with a salary of 150,000. Any recommendations?
General question. Not related to any particular offer. Suppose you get offer from all large service companies with same salary with around 10-15 yoe, which one will you choose and why Consider all - TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Tech M, Capgemini, Mindtree, IBM, Wipro
Ad agency designer desperately looking for an out but I have a possible new job opportunity. Here is my dilemma: Pros.... more money, no crazy client demands, pitches or decks or even prospective clients that will go nowhere (in-house), better benefits Cons.... this is a big one - it’s healthcare I’ve been at agencies with a range of clients for the past few years. Career suicide taking an in-house healthcare job? Especially if role focuses more on growth & performance over design?
If coming from a non-target school, should I mention that I got into deferred M7 MBA on my resume. I'm trying to lateral right now but I'm not sure how helpful the "better branding" is for this process. Sidenote: If any T2 firms are hiring laterals, I would love to chat.
Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
What are some pros/cons of having a corporate apartment vs staying in a hotel every week? (Besides the obvious ie no points but less travel time) Anyone here with experience in both situations?
Worthwhile getting the AWS cloud practitioner cert? (Will there be a return financially in ease of finding job or higher salary)?
24F and I have never found someone I’m compatible with long term. Finally met someone recently & we hit it off very well (I was so excited!!) but as we got to know each other over a month, our fundamental values & differences became more obvious. I’ve been single my entire life and I am sick of people asking why I’ve never had a relationship. How much do you actually compromise in finding a partner?
I’m over consulting and just want to do van life (or van life lifestyle). I want to up and quit but I’m really struggling to find a solid remote job. For context I’ve been solo traveling around since we can work remote so I’ve done a trial run of this. I know it is not always glamorous and vans are expensive.
