I've been interviewing with some companies, and now I have to decide between JPMorgan Chase and Globant.
Globant is more innovative, and has remote work. I will enter to work with a Sillicon Valley startup based in San Francisco. The tech stack is React, Nextjs, AWS, and a serverless architecture.
JPM is semi remote, and less innovative. The tech stack Java, SpringBoot and AWS. But I'd do more migration tasks, like dockerize projects and pass them to kubernetes. What would you choose?

A month before if you liked your company, 2 weeks if you don't, day before if you hate them
Even if you hate them, provide enough time. Our networks are really small and so many consultants go into industry, you never know when a former colleague will be a potential client.
Hand in your resignation? There's nothing else to really say lol. Give your two weeks notice and reach out to influential people in your network who you want to keep in touch with.
Depends. Leave enough time to wrap up loose ends and/or transfer knowledge. 2 weeks is standard. Can also base it on when you're current project is ending, as a courtesy. If you're strapped for cash, less time.
^your current.
After reading this post, I just feel no one is irreplaceable...which is kinda of sad considering how much effort we put into our daily work and how important we might think we are.
Haha I mean, when bcg or pwc post a req, how many resumes do you think they get?? If one person quits, there's a hundred other eager MBAs looking for that opportunity. A friend of mine had trouble breaking in, and he said "I would wash toilets there for 3 months if it meant I had a job offer after"
😱who is hiring that far in advance?! Wait until a few months before you want to leave... Otherwise, you might be looked over for cool projects.
Private equity firms hire 18 months in advance...
Now... It is not uncommon for BCG to pay for transition, even if you've accepted another job. So... As early as when you'd have enough transition time to get to your new job's start date. (e.g., 2 mo C, 3 mo PL.)
Thanks for the replies all. If I sign my offer more than a year in advance, when is the appropriate time to let them know?
Don't tell em. Keeping on two payrolls? Beautiful.
Don't have one yet, asking hypothetically
Thanks Chicago :)
