I have a coworker who keeps spouting comparative odds and situations in regards to the safety of the vaccine. Such as: you're twice as likely to get hit by lightening than have blod clots from JJ. It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that? I’m about to be representing more borrowers in loan docs. It seems much different than representing the lender where “it is what it is” and bank weighs in if we are going off form. What are the top things to look out for?

Pro se plaintiff, an attorney, filed a complaint alleging mold defects after closing on a property. Client, layperson, may have agreed orally to a settlement amount without proof of damages prior to filing appearance and obtaining an attorney. Client filed appearance pro se, then plaintiff sent over a draft settlement agreement few weeks later which client didn’t sign. Client then got an attorney, filed answer, etc. Can this oral agreement be voided for coercion, indefinite mat’l term, etc?

Looking for a bit of insight on how commission or bonus is structured on flat rate residential real estate at Canadian law firms. I was offered a good base salary and I was asked what type of structure I was looking for. I am uncertain as to what is considered standard or what to look for in terms of bonus/commission structure.
