Writers gotta write. Always have ideas, even if they’re bad. Always listen to feedback, even if it’s bad. Always show up. Always try hard.

Provide lots of options. Think ahead. Never complain. Ask gently for opportunities and when they’re given, make sure you’re prepared. Have a positive attitude and don’t be precious if your ideas are killed...

Never try to "be valuable to the team", aim to do things which are valued, and you will be valuable.

Change the question, change the answer.

You're a copywriter, you'd get that. :)

Be the ball. Then be the hoop. Then be a low level employee for a really long time, because capitalism. Then, if white and male, be in charge of interns for a really long time. Then get disgruntled because ageism at 39 and go client side and work 39 hours a week. Or something.

I have been giving a few interviews lately and every Company is asking me to confirm if i can get my NP reduced from 90 Days to 45 or 60 Days. I'm still under probation but assigned to a Project already. Should I ask my Account Manager and HR about it or its unethical to do so. Am i making a mistake to ask and confirm about NP even before my offer letter or its ok to just enquire what's the process and possibility to reduce NP as we have buyout option too.

Based on the Gross salary offered I have calculated the in hand salary per month would be around 152000 considering 150000 in 80C, 50000 in NPS and 200000 deductions due to home loan interest. Total tax liability is around 400000. Any other options do I have to save tax further (other than HRA, LTA)? Thanks in advance.

So, you’ve reached the stage of your career where you care more about cashing a fat paycheck than making “creative ads”. You’d rather have the resources and free time to fulfill your creative itch outside of work than try to sell the next big idea to an 28 year old marketing manager with an annual budget of 150k.
