IT band pain? Best stretches and ways to deal?

Knee pain immediately after running in the cold that subsides after you warm up. Anyone else have this problem? Solutions?

I love foam rolling IT bands for knee pain. I also do a lot of the “couch stretch” for tight hips and quads.

Foam roll after running for sure. For before you run, stretch. Google IT band stretches, the best is the one where you cross one foot over the other while standing and try to touch your toe with opposite hands- this will make sense when you google the diagrams

I had IVF process to get pregnant. During pre- embryo transfer we were told that girl embryo is being transferred. Currently I am 18 week pregnant. I had anatomy scan and we found out we are having a boy. Baby looked all healthy but due to gender discrepancy, We are asked to do additional testing and genetic disorder screening. Trigger: rare illness post birth

Just sharing that I was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia 3 days after giving birth despite not having risk factors or preeclampsia in my pregnancy. Sharing as I had absolutely no idea about this illness.

Main things to do are check your BP everyday at least the first ten days after you give birth, and go to hospital if it's very high (over 160/110). If you get severe headache or stomach ache then also be vigilant.

Kind of a new distance runner here (completed my first half mara last month) and am usually run on treadmill for workouts during the week. I also wear an Apple Watch. Have noticed that my Apple Watch tends to say I’ve run a longer distance, at a faster speed, than treadmill. (It’s usually up to 0.5 miles off and 0.5mph off in speed). Anyone experience this? Hey fish - for longer runs outdoors, what do you do about carrying water? Outdoor fountains aren’t really an option right now. 😂😭 Do you prefer to just hold a water bottle? One of those belt things? Female here if it makes any difference.

Question: How do you get your heart rate down?
Perspective: I am 24 and run 25 miles a week. My average heart rate is usually 175 but gets up to 200 (worrisome). My heart rate recovery is 55-75 after three minutes. I just don’t understand why my heart rate gets so high if I’m healthy. Am I breathing wrong?

Have been running for the last few years and consistently get “dead feet” feeling after 3-4 miles. Feet go somewhat numb and I stop and stretch to relive the pain. Have tried a few different types of shoes (on cloud / altra / Nike) to no avail. Even tried the loosening of my shoes. Any advice? I’m in good shape and can cycle for 40-60 miles at a time so endurance isn’t the issue, it’s my feet. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestions!!!
