Looking to move and having some success getting interviews, but I’m not getting past the first round. I’m not getting any feedback so I’m not sure what’s going wrong. Is this normal?
Do all the Big 4/MBB background checks include past employment verification? If so, how do they do this? Do you provide contact info on your previous employers?
Tired of consulting and late nights. Don’t enjoy the work. Trying to move to technology company. Focused on program management side.thoughts on how would you prepare for interviews ?
CMV: The era of traveling consultants is over. Yes, life will go back to normal and travel will be safe again, but not until enough time/experience has passed for consulting firms and clients to realize the weekly on-site travel is unnecessary. Limited travel will still exist and maybe more at senior levels. Regional/local travel will be the norm. Consulting will remain a popular career starter for exit opps and continued high pay, but not for travel/expense perks.
I recently moved to a new company. As I get access to all the systems, I noticed that I have access to HR function (peers, managers) data within the HRIS system and other sources. I am not planning to look at the data but I'm concerned that peers can see my compensation, etc., if I can see theirs. At the company I came from, HR data was extremely safeguarded and restrictive within our systems. Is this something I should bring up to my manager?
Does anyone have creative ways that they are capitalizing on outside sales perks such as: mileage, hotel points, credit card points, etc.? So far my solutions are high mpg vehicle to maximize profit on the 57 cent per mile standard and the American Express Hilton Honors credit card to gain points after the company reimbursement.
New to Deloitte Consulting - what is the best way to send personal files out of the work laptop? Some small some big, immigration related stuff I want to send to personal email. Thx
Does anyone have any idea how much a CD earns in Hong Kong? I've been quoted the equivalent of 100k US which doesn't seem a vast amount for a major city...
Is it weird that I’m at a large consulting firm and my hours are completely reasonable (often 9-5). My friend at a major firm has the same, but if I were just looking at this forum, I’d think all consultants work almost like I bankers. Any other consultants out there working reasonable hours that they can’t complain much about?
Rhode Island Tax: I am filing my taxes and the tax for Rhode Island (non resident ) as per TurboTax is way more than what BCG deducted & provided as multi tax. Is there something I may be doing Wrong
My oldest turns 12 tomorrow. We were 17 when we had him and thought everything would be great if we could just make $12 an hr. I cant even explain how far we come ...

Hi ZS associate Consultants, I am SC at Deloitte and currently in talks with ZS, what position at ZS is comparable to SC at Deloitte? Also what is the culture like at ZS?
Which Hogwarts House do you belong in and why? ...because this is far more representative of your personality than any Myers-Briggs test :)
Does anybody else feel like they’re “under-cover” when you don’t have to wear a suit on your flight to a client? Best feeling for me is when I’m upgraded wearing jeans and a sweatshirt
I’m getting more compelling recruiter emails now that companies aren’t as tied to markets, and are more open to permanently-remote employees. For these types of opportunities, how do you approach salary talks? Do you base it on where you live, or where the office is that you’re talking to? For context, the agency I’m interviewing with only has an office in NYC and I’m in Chicago, and have no interest in relocating.
CSR Holders - have you gotten 3X points when booking through a travel agent? Considering using one to book my honeymoon.
New to Deloitte - does D audit every expense report and notate compliance/ adjustments or does the person have to be specifically “audited” for this to happen ?
If you had an offer from a company w/higher pay, and more aligned with your interests but you have only been at ACN for a little over a year, would you take it or wait another year at least?
What do you do on Monday to get your week set up? I feel like I spend so much time helping my team get their pipelines in shape for the week / setting up a plan.
I heard this term ”corporate lynching” today. It has characteristics much like the old mob mentality of the south, in which mobs would take a grievance against the majority power structure and use it as a catalyst for committing a atrocity. However, this lynching is done through the manipulating of perceptions of a black employees through influences that ultimately limit the employee's ability to succeed. Have any ever witness or experienced these type of actions? If so, what can we do?
Thoughts on Deloitte Digital (anywhere in North America)? Is it career suicide if I’m coming from an agency or can I do good work there?
