It's finally clear to me that we have a market meltdown once every ten years or so.

Corona
Housing
Tech boom
Black Friday
Etc.

I'm not banking on a schedule of any sort but Taleb's Black Swan is the next book on my list.

I’m feeling better about early retirement if that’s how this goes. I like working but it’s not going to kill me to find alternatives.

DH and actually talking about working a few extra years from home location which would not be our current home. We’re well set but A few more years would leave more for the kids later.

Is anyone here familiar with RSUs and stock options as part of divorce? My arbitrator was not and she asked us to hire an expert to get a valuation. She’s convinced I cannot take my portion in kind if we could not settle on the value and I don’t want to be forced to sell my half to Husband at whatever valuation expert provides today (RSUs and stock options are under Husband’s name). If they low ball I rather take the risk and take them in kind. Any advice would be helpful.

I know this is not the right forum to post random messages but I’ve seen some great advice on here, so would like to know how you’d manage your money from the below information and how you’d save?

All ideas welcome :)

New Driveway needed and back garden to be done
Current Savings of only £2k after a wedding, home renovation and honeymoon
Expenses have increased due to inflation and rising costs…approx. £1400 on bills etc

I'm new to this space so looking for direction.
I work in DDV and in addition to PMO, my work involves organising workshops & working with leaders to strategize direction of the company, key initiatives to focus on and organize priorities around that. Recently I had a call with a recruiter whose attitude felt rather reductive with him saying "if you're doing PMI that's just PMO work. None of my clients are really interested, we want strategic focus"
Any tips on how to communicate my fit better?

My observation is that it is hard for consulting partners to land the quality public or private board roles everyone naturally targets. Despite there being a significant amount of exceptional talent that could be deployed, there is a big bias against consultants. Everyone wants “operators,” but I feel every board could also benefit from one current or former consulting partner. But sadly, that’s not the way the external world looks at things...
