Maybe hold out
You seriously need to compare cost of living between wherever you are now with those cities. I moved from a medium cost-of-living city to Seattle and it was harsh. Rent was much higher and got us a much smaller place. We had to sell a bunch of furniture, and then buy new, smaller things. Rents in Seattle now are crazy high.
Did they require you to know scala to get an interview?
If you’re tied to your location, don’t make the move unless you really want to. In this market there’s no stability
Personally i would not take the role. Relocation+hybrid = no way jose
That’s a tough decision! On one hand, Disney is a huge opportunity, and the stock options could be a nice perk. But, the pay bump is minimal, and the lack of flexibility could be a dealbreaker long-term. If remote flexibility is a big priority for you, it might be worth holding out for a role that aligns more with your needs.
Totally agree. Its a great company that i want to be a part of but I def need more pay to even consider it and 2-3 days in office not 4.
What's the job your thinking of leaving? I'll take it.
