Anything to decrease the number of traffic v pedestrian/bike related injuries and deaths seems like a great thing. Plus, I’d love for the triangle to become a more walkable place. Why are people not thrilled with it?
Generally, I am 1000% in favor of anything around the North Hills area that cleans up the mess that Kane has made. I love the North Hills shopping center generally, but he has been allowed to build indiscriminately, completely cancel commitments he made that were intended to keep pedestrians and bikers safe, and generally have no regard for traffic. I’m hoping that the new, more balanced City Council will serve as more of a voice of responsibility when it comes to building in Raleigh so that it’s done intelligently and thinking about long-term impacts.
I should know this because I live off Six Forks a mile north of North Hills, but what is that about? I theoretically like the ideas he mentions, but it kind of depends where they are doing that, how it will affect traffic flow, etc.
Between Rowan st and Lynn rd. for now it looks like. https://raleighnc.gov/projects/six-forks-road-improvements
Yes I was just talking about this
Yeah, I think this is awesome. I wish our walk place system was better. Sometimes it doesn’t even make sense how the sidewalks are broken up lol. I’m hoping this type of project gets implemented throughout the triangle. Makes it easier for a lot of people
Yes, the more we do to reduce our carbon footprint the better, IMO
