You def won’t get Director unless you are very experienced and have a full book of business. How many years at M? Can help decide a map to M versus SM.
Don’t think pwc would bring deloitte M at any level above M2 at PwC.

OP - If you are a 2+ year Manager at D, it’s very safe to assume you can get in as a SM at PwC.
Your C and SC levels are adding 1 to it unless you’re referring to bottom 5%
Got it. Thanks guys. I’ll try my luck with an SM role application.
Just finished submitting my SM application P5. But thanks for advice. Applying for Director is definitely what I want to do. Based on DM conversations, it does look like I already make more as a Deloitte M than what PwC offers to its SMs. So, this might not pan out. Will try to get in at the Director level at that point.
There is no promotional hiring in the Big 4. If you are a M at D and you haven't been responsible for 3-4mm biz dev, led multiple complex engagements and have strong management skills, you are not qualified to come in to PwC as a Director over internal staff who are up from promotion and are known and proven. You would have to make the jump as SM for at least a year to be evaluated against internal staff and learn the PwC ecosystem.
P5 only if they have proven biz dev. No partner is going to hire an outside Director, even a seasoned consultant, without a book of business and solid selling skills.
Could one of you guys give me a range for the PwC SM salary.
