Best resume templates? My old one looks stale...
Oliver Wyman fishes, I have 1 YOE at Deloitte but not officially in their consulting practice, but working with a strategy consulting team there. If there are no ‘Consultant’ level openings on the career page right now, is there anything I can realistically apply for? Does Senior Consultant make any sense?

That’s been my experience as well.
At a t2, and feels like it really depends on case type. DDs, i don't even get introduced on the zoom calls. But I've also been on a strat project where I led calls with client leadership and emailed them back and forth for stuff (literally only happened once tho, and only cause i was an SME on a certain loop where we really needed management feedback, and the M was always on the call / CC'd)
If you have 2YOE then you joined during the pandemic so that doesn’t help obviously.
I would say it is not consistent what you describe. You could discuss it with your mentor or next project manager that this an area you want to grow and need more exposure and how they can create that space / opportunity for you.

agreed - the associate role at my T2 feels more junior than my previous firm
Associate can mean different things depending on firm. At Kearney it’s a senior consultant just before manager, while at others it could be the starting rank fresh from university.

This is true. Especially on DDs, where only the manager has any speaking role. I've been on DDs where its the partner doing the report outs.
On a regular project, I would say 4-5 sounds about right.
