I’m an underpaid consultant working with Deloitte, receiving 10.5LPA with 6 years of experience in ABAP. I have received an offer from EY with 14LPA. If I work with EY for a year and then boomerang back to Deloitte, will I get another salary hike based on my pay with EY? Would deloitte even give an opportunity to go back?

I worked as external payroll for 1 year then I became permanent employee of organization was working. When i was a fresher my salary was below tax slab so my external exployer did not generate any form 16 for me. When tried to switch my new organization wants me to submit form 16 as BGC process. You've spoken on behalf of all/most Consultants at Deloitte.

Not unless you bring some treasure trove of experience in that period of time. Else you're just a job hopper for Deloitte. They will your history of employment.
The HR is just being a plain a-hole. To be honest, you should just leave man. In the end, it is also about the money.
I have heard Deloitte is a good pay master and searching someone to refer me.
Who do they pay then?
Not there too. Its very subjective only few get the higher package if there is huge demand of ur skill set or there are very specific client requirements
Obviously you will got that ,coz you would have working experience with EY and easily would get 30-40 percent hike
Ofcourse you'll get
Join EY and try to switch again..if Deloitte is your first company then a quick switch can be justified.. there are so many companies out here..good product based companies, captives..you will hardly miss Deloitte..walmart, HUL, Boeing, Airbus, SAP labs, Novo Nordisk, MyLan, Teva pharmaceuticals, Google, Microsoft..etc..all have SAP Technical jobs..Start giving interviews in Service based companies and once you get enough experience and confidence then start applying above companies..all the best
I did apply Walmart. They said they don't have any S/4 projects.
Did not clear SAP Labs , but interview was quite informative. The person who interviewed me knew everything! 2 hours interview and couldn't clear it, but I'm happy.
I've applied to Boeing, but have not received any replies so far.
Why to go back to deloitte. It's hell for abapers.. Consider other companies in market after EY.
