I’ve worked at AT&T as a sales consultant for 6 years and 8 months where we prospect, uncover, and close on leads. I’ve used Salesforce for the past 4 years during my tenure. I’ve done B2B sales where I’ve received awards for it for 2 years consecutively. Loads of troubleshooting, uncovering needs through consultative styled selling, and tech app subscriptions.
I was wondering if I have the necessary skills to transition into a tech sales role. If so, what would be the best role/fit for me?Amazon Salesforce Google @

Bonus for EY S&O?
Negotiating with EY for M/SM Tech Consulting. I have 15 years experience, skills are in demand and my interviews went extremely well. 1. What are the salary ranges for M and SM in NYC. 2. I am told it is only going to be a M now, for my own benefit-no EY network means failure at selling. Whats the highest salary I can negotiate at M. Any other tips will be handy. I have "sold" (support on sales & new roles through relationships) plus I have solid delivery experience. I really want SM 😀😀😀 EY

That’s a downgrade for someone from OW
My thoughts are that they are cheap and don’t pay as much as big 4. Also they are publicly traded so expect a lot of constraints and red tape.
I think im paid handsomely, and the culture beats most firms (friendly people, people trying to help, etc) yes publically traded but more incentive to do your best work of ur career.
Yeah seems like a huge downgrade from OW. Would be surprised if they could afford you especially since consultant is entry level. Girl I work with now come from there and said it’s a sweatshop. Working to 3am wasn’t out of the ordinary. She was doing MBS litigation so maybe it was just her group
Shitty company
Terrible place to work and I'm mostly referring to their Healthcare practice. The happiest day in my career is the day I left. Jaded..yes..happier now..yes!
Leverage my prior employers salary and matched with $10k+. Managing consultant $165k base; which is probably way above range.
I had a few colleagues join the firm. If you have a good understanding of financial data, you’ll be fine. Their analytics practice is meh.
Practice is Capital Markers and Banking
Recruiter reached out to me. When business is slow, it can’t hurt to look externally. This was helpful, thanks all
Great firm in terms of culture/work, however the pay is much less
What does being publicly traded for consulting firms entail? Like acn is similar
Publicly traded companies tend to put a very large emphasis on finding as many efficiencies as possible. After all they need to be accountable to the stock holders. So in essence they will cut down on all items they deem to be “unnecessary”. Usually these environments tend to be very toxic.
Culture is good, pay is below the others. Some practices are better than other ( like everywhere else). Sweat shop? Umm well yes busier days due to big pipeline but you’re “semi” rewarded , and not considered a number , real time access to leaders of practices only you perform
@c1 where did you move to? Also you’re at 165 now as mc? 😮
