Hi all, I was offered 19 LPA by FIS for Lead Analyst project management in Mohali location. I have 9.5 years of experience and 3.5 years of scrum master experience. I have negotiated and asked for around 22 LPA as I’m holding another offer by accenture with 21 LPA (16.8 L fixed), Gurgaon locations . Just wanted to know how much should I expect with my experience and this role.
Does FIS consider renegotiation once offer letter is rolled out.

better than my middle aged white lady "diversity mentor" who told me a story about how her child had a school assignment to write about how they've experienced racism in their life and instead of teaching the child to think critically and question their own privileged experiences, she helped her kid make up a story about spilling something on their Brooks Brothers shirt and trying to go to the store with their nanny to buy a new one but their nanny being followed around like she was a shoplifter/not allowed to buy the shirt for the kid. (btw they based this story on a news story they heard about oprah)
When I was a trainee solicitor in my first seat in London, I had lunch at my desk on one of the busy days.
I'm Korean and cook Korean food frequently for dinner so brought some leftovers from the previous night. My white supervising partner told me that my food was smelly and told me to eat somewhere else.

I am usually firmly against taking on the work of educating folks who should know better, but since she’s your mentor, it may be a real opportunity to educate her in a way that builds connection. If you want to tackle this, you can use it as an opportunity to invite her to expand her cultural competence. Something like, “I agree! This stuff being served is not actually “Chinese food,” it’s the commercialized watered down version of it - deep fried, over cooked, sugary, and greasy because apparently that’s the only way American customers will eat it. Real Chinese/Korean/Thai food includes fresh vegetables, herbs, etc. Have you ever tried <<insert authentic restaurant suggestion>>? It’s amazing - light, fresh, and flavorful. Maybe we can grab lunch there next time.”
Something that doesn’t shame her for being oblivious, and invites her to learn, PLUS introduces her to good food.
Ahhh, okay. Yeah. That’s just rude. And, unfortunately, my experience with older leaders in business and law has been what Associate 3 said. They don’t change, they either sorta listen and then roll right over what was said, or they double down on their position.
I’d like to change my answer, and go back to not taking on the emotional and mental labor of trying to educate or enlighten here. Maybe someday she’ll get genuinely curious vs. judgmental. Until then, keep your head up and try not to roll your eyes to the skies when you see her.

Ugh the white ladies at my job are ALWAYS complaining about the food. In general, like eating anything but a salad disgusts them, but ESPECIALLY any ethnic food. It’s so effing bizarre.
You're definitely stronger than me, because if someone said that to my face, I would've drenched them in that "disgusting sauce"
That’s hilarious and kind of sad. Not a good look on her, especially as she is saying this to an Asian person. Not great emotional intelligence here.
Curious what region she is from? Perhaps she is not exposed to other cultures?
