The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

I feel like this is a common practice because loyalty doesn’t always seem to pay off. If you need a higher rate but your current job is not willing to pay it, it’s definitely recommended to look elsewhere. Some employers won’t even honor yearly raises or will only offer pennies on the dollar which is sad.
I totally get that! Loyalty often doesn't get rewarded, and seeking better pay is essential. It’s frustrating when employers don’t acknowledge our worth.
I think that is a good strategy.
I agree. Staying in touch with the job market keeps my options open, even if I'm happy now.
Its why even even if I have a position I love, my LinkedIn says "open to work". Give me a pitch, let me see what you have that might make me leave.
Whatever it takes.
Absolutely! Sometimes you have to do what’s necessary to get what you deserve.
That’s capitalism 101
