Can you grab some quotes and show them what they are offering won’t cover the full cost?
There is no goodwill to this they are seeing if you will take the low ball offer if you don’t they will find someone else that will that is how companies work it’s the lowest offer possible push back with quotes telling them what they are offering you and what it’s gonna cost does not pay off of course they will find somebody out there that will do it for that price and that will struggle but if you’re gonna struggle, then there’s no sense in doing it if you’re gonna lose more by doing it then by not doing it, I wouldn’t do it but if you’re gonna end up gaining from it like saying six months to a year be making double what you are now then it’ll pay off but if you’re not breaking, even by the time you get there, I wouldn’t do it
Most companies are fairly liberal with moving costs. Unless you’ve done it before you’ll find the costs offered are pretty fair. Keep in mind it’s also taxable. So be glad to get it. It’s your responsibility to do the research unless the company has a mover already set up.
I’ve moved many time and never had an issue with any company under performing with a reasonable offer. What are you willing to risk.
