I'm beyond frustrated with job hunting. I have a college degree with about 4 years of administrative experience, but I CANNOT find a job. I've been unemployed for over a year now and I'm constantly getting rejected. I feel like ever since I was laid off from my admin position in 2020 due to the pandemic, I haven't been able to land a permanent job. Between 2021 - 2023, I had a temp admin position and have been trying to look for a permanent role in the admin field since my contract ended.

Does anyone think it’s weird that my firm is bending over backwards to try to keep a first year staff from leaving the firm after she was rated a 2 this year. But now she’s trying to leave and they keep trying to push her to stay saying she can be a partner in 8-9 years and laying it all out in detail. The issue is they laid off other staff (all but her) so maybe that’s it? Find it very odd.

Stupid Question- We have been thinking for IVF and trying to understand with this process, is there any difference in the health and life of the child as compared to a child born without IVF. Hey! I’m new here and would like some input. I’ve been working in a new position for almost 5 months. In that time I’ve witnessed some unethical and lots of unprofessional behavior. I’ve been yelled at and berated by my coworker 3 separate times because of minor errors. I’m ready to quit. Looking for another remote position

Has anyone else had a mentor (assigned to them by the Company) who seemed to have it out for you? I mean downright sabotage to make you look bad left and right. I didn’t realize it at first. She was fake friendly, but she was discrete too. Some of the executives thought she was amazing, but I had to clean up her work all the time. She wasn’t above me either on the chain of command. Later I found out she had tried for the exec assistant role and they didn’t choose her, they wanted me instead.

I've gotten to the point of where I think I'm bored of my job because there is no excitement and I want a bigger pay. Making 45k doesn't help, so any advice?
