Keep temping. Dont get discouraged. Sometimes a temp role can turn into something permanent. Thats what happened to me as a legal assistant way back when. Its also how I stumbled into risk management. Ive temped at some great places, including MTV/VH1. Often there are roles within the organization you are temping for. Dont give up and there is more than one way to akin a caT. Good luck!
OP when I tell you that I feel this. I have been looking for a new role for 6 months and cannot find anything to save my life. It feels like I have applied for atleast 500 jobs. Have you tried posting in the job referral bowl? You might be able to get some leads in there.
I will do that, thanks! Sorry you're in the same boat as me. Good luck in your job search!
I am in the same boat. In the past, I could meet with HR, they reviewed my resume, interviewed me, get me to the right department and I got the job. Today the technology has changed everything. I have been applying only to get countless "you are no longer under consideration" emails. It's not fun to feel rejected but I have to know it's not even a person but a computer system.
I was able to obtain a referral, get a phone interview which turned into a second phone interview and am now scheduling the final executive interview. Don't loose heart, don't give up! The new goal is to get in front of a person so they can see your talents and you can shine!
I am experiencing something very similar- I will say that after meeting with a very helpful recruiter (from my experience, I have gotten the most feedback from recruiters working for a smaller agency), they made a handful of suggestions regarding my resume. Simple tweaks & rephrasing have resulted in me getting more interviews that I had been previously. Fresh eyes could be helpful!
Best of luck!
Not sure where you’re located but check your local area’s government job site, public schools, etc.
Praying you find something with your name on it. Hang in there. 🩷🙏🏽🩷
I am sorry you are having such a difficult time finding a new job. I have been unemployed for about six weeks and I know how stressed out I am. I cannot even imagine the frustration of being unemployed for a year. I know the job market is rough right now but I hope you find something soon. Good luck to you.
Thank you. Sorry you're struggling as well. Good luck to you too!
I am with you. I've been unemployed for 8 months. I've applied for over 120 positions. I have 14 years of experience. All I get is rejection emails. I am my wits end.
I feel this. I was fortunate enough to be referred to my current position a couple years ago but I was looking for awhile and could not find anything. Hang in there something is bound to turn up.
