I’m curious how you all feel about the push for culture building. My company is constantly scheduling "fun" events that feel mandatory and, honestly, pretty draining.
As engineers, should we be expected to participate in this stuff, or is it unfair to ask us to perform that kind of emotional labor on top of our actual sprints? I’d love to hear if your teams handle this better or if you're feeling the same burnout.

Need advice: do you tell your manager that you’re unhappy or do you just leave?

I’m being taken advantage of with being thrown so much work and really don’t see my salary increasing to be in line with my coworkers doing similar work. I’m a consistent high performer - management reviews tell me that much.
