I have been accepted for prince 2 foundation + practitioner (accelerated) course in sabacloud. This course is delivered by sure skills. Anyone has taken this course? Do we give a test at the end of this course or do we get prince2 certification for attendance? I’m trying to evaluate if this course is worth attending for 3 full working days - i.e do I need to attend this course to become eligible for giving a prince2 exam or attending the course itself suffice?

I was hired within the last year as a site supervisor. I did well my first few projects with the company. They asked if I’d be interested in transitioning into a construction manager role. I agreed. Have 3 busy seasons of big4 audit experience and going on 3 years in the finance/ops department of a F75 company. CPA and I’ve always been a top performer. I don’t have any interest in accounting and Primarily work on and enjoy improving processes at my company and am thinking about trying to do some type of process improvement consulting for financial service firms. Does anyone have any insight on this type of career or a similar path?

I randomly applied for a job opening with a smaller tech company. Within five days, I got an offer that pays 62% more than my current salary! A part of me is exhilarated, but a part of me feels like I tricked them all. I didn’t lie during the interview, but I definitely played up some of my accomplishments. I also spent extensive hours prepping for the interviews and planned stories that made simple projects seem very elaborate and complex.

I have a close friend who graduated with a 2.5 GPA from a no name brand school.. he’s looking for entry level Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, PM or business related rotation programs and having a real hard time. He had a major life event during college that impacted his GPA. I don’t believe GPA correlates much with being a great employee especially since most of the learning is on the job.

For those who hire new software developers, does it make you stand out if you get your certificate from a university instead of a coding academy (like coding dojo or something)? I noticed the universities are a bit more expensive but is it worth the price to have a university on your resume or does it not really matter?

Hi Everyone, Started my career in government 5 years ago working in an operational role, then focussed on HR for 3 years working my way up to a middle manager role in HR as a business partner and completed my Level 7 CIPD.
