I’m currently interviewing at a few firms. For those that don’t mind sharing, what’s the typical Senior Associate salary rate for the industry? Especially interested in PWC and Guidehouse - thanks!

I have currently been in talks with the company about moving on to my next career opportunity at the Boston or Atlanta offices and want to get an idea of what life is like working for the company. I currently work for PwC, I'm sure some of you come from big4 and understand the low salary, long hours, and office politics that PwC and other big 4s bring. Do you enjoy working at Protiviti more than PwC? How is work/life and travel requirements? Reinvest stuf requird?

Hi guys, I have taken an Infosys interview on the 9th of April, on 11 the April HR asked for some documents along with a payslip but after that, I'm not getting any update from HR.
The status of my application is 'review in progress '.

Has anyone left big 4 or other PA firms tax transaction service groups for industry (or know of anyone)? What was the role and salary bump, how are annual bonuses/raises in industry, what is a typical work week (hours) like? I don’t think I can take this always on just to stay afloat life much longer. For context I am considered a high performer, am near the top of the salary band at my level and have a great supporting network at Deloitte. It’s just not worth it to have zero personal life.

So had my first interview in one of the big 4 but it got me completely off guard. First one was call screening and then a technical interview. Now what I didn’t expect is rather than technicalities they focused on the consulting a lot more. Now the role that was marketed was technical/Architect and they even said that in current capacity you’ll work here as a technical person. I don’t think it went well. Coming from a technical background I was hoping for coding .
Is it always like this?

What band can be offered to a person with 11.5 yrs of QA experience? Also what can be the roles in that band?

Just received an offer with expected / standard salary for role but no signing or relocation bonus. They know I don’t have any other offers which is why I assume they didn’t offer any signing bonus - do I have any chance of getting one without “leverage”?

This may be a dumb question, but is there any business role/function where you’re not sitting in front of a computer all day? Before entering the corporate world I was in the restaurant industry for many years and was on a computer maybe 10% of the time. I’ve been in consulting for four years but still can’t stand sitting behind a computer and building PPTs all day - is corporate America just not for me?

PPMD 🐠 - As a senior assistant I want to go above and beyond with my partners. I am lucky enough to know the teams very well and my PPMDs are amazing! What are some things that you would like to see more of? I handle calendaring, inbox management, event planning and will help the team with whatever they need. Deloitte fish: I’m an alum trying to do some retirement planning. I was an SM2 vested in the pension plan (I worked in DTTL for 7 years ending 2013) and want to find out what my actual benefits will be and at what age. I have no paperwork and 800-Deloitte does not seem to have a way to route me to the right people. Does anyone have a human contact or procedure that can help me get this info?

For people with clean records -what’s the rationale for waiting until a background check to clear before giving notice? I keep seeing it mentioned but I what’s the risk? To my knowledge it’s not like a cleared background check protects you from your new firm rescinding an offer…is the goal to minimize gaps between paychecks?
