Why did Toronto (or Canada?) change the exit signs from the classic red EXIT sign to the green running man? Wouldn’t it confuse more people especially elders in finding the exit?

Also isn’t it a waste of money for businesses to replace perfectly functional exit signs when renovating?

My colleague is going on maternity leave for 4 months and I was asked to cover some of her projects which are step up in responsibility than what I’m currently operating at. Some peers have suggested I ask for a raise to accommodate this but I’m not sure I agree as I’m only covering her while she’s out? What are others thoughts about this?

Hello, after doing some research I believe I’m being underpaid. About 4 months ago HR did a market analysis for my role. They bumped my salary for about $2k. I’m a mid-level Executive assistant with 6 years of experience and currently supporting 5 executives at a fortune 50 company. One C level and 4 Vice Presidents. I’m currently making $61,000 with bonus included. Based on my research I should at least be making $71,400. I have a check in with my boss tomorrow and I am asking for a raise.

Interview tomorrow for a tax associate opening at RSM. Been working in a mid-size city (different firm) that is about 70 minutes from this new home office in a larger metro. How flexible is WFH or dual model going forward post Covid? Am interested in this position and going to tax, but not be able to relocate for family reasons. I accepted a job offer in April to start a few months from now, post clerkship. All conflicts/background check went smoothly etc. Since accepting my offer, the firm has increased their 1st year pay across the board to be higher than my offer was (which was, at the time, what 2nd yeas got).
