That’s awesome that you are thinking about all of this. You might start with reaching out to some local schools and asking to speak with an admissions counselor. You might need to take some classes as prerequisites and those are often available at community colleges. They should be able to give you a list of classes you will need to take. Good luck!

I would focus on getting into nursing school step by step. You are already ahead. Keep asking questions and building experience.

I recently was let go (in lieu of accepting my two weeks) and I should have received my March expense check by the end of April per the employment agreement (submitted the report April 1, let go before mid April). I have emailed HR but haven't heard anything. I've got a feeling someone at the top is putting a hold on it.

How do I get my money from them? It's a few hundred dollars

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.
