Definitely file in PP if the firm is paying for it. If they don’t, there is still some benefit in paying for it out of pocket.
You should be able to switch jobs as long as your 485 and 140 have been pending for 6 months (need to stay with the same company). But if you can have 140 approved, then it’s even better.
Also, the 140 is the last big variable in your 485 approval. If your 140 gets denied, your 485 is rejected.

My man, stay with your firm 180 days after they file 485 and then leave. You’ll be able to port the entire process.
If you do it earlier, you’ll have to start from scratch, not worth it!!!
Also 100% PP even if you have to pay for it, it also slightly speeds up the entire process and you need 140 approved to port the process. And EY won’t revoke 140, only shady companies do it (they may ask you to pay GC fees though, some companies do that)

I-140 is an employment based concept. The 130 is a family based concept I believe. And therefore should have no correlation to the 180 days employment topic
