I'm getting married August 18 and I'm supposed to start a new job. I told the company during the interview process in January about my upcoming wedding date and they confirmed it was no issue.

I just received a start date of August 14 and I'm wondering what is an acceptable amount of time to take off for our wedding & honeymoon. There is no company limit on time off but I obviously want to be reasonable. We were even thinking of waiting until August 24/25 to go on the honeymoon.

5th year looking for gauge likely meta comp. Recruiter told me 175k-200k base + bonus and equity. Just wondering what would push me towards the higher base

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk). Any ideas as to what (if anything) to do?
