For the CPA application, how do you fill out the date section on the form if it has not been a full year since you’ve started full time with the firm but the internship counts for the experience?
Can you shed some light on MBB recruitment? You got to events, shake some hands and then what? Do you need multiple people to back your candidacy at each firm? Will they invite you to “unofficial” events if they like you? Not really sure how much effort this requires
Anyone got any suggestions on where to look for a summer internship in finance - the wesbites like ratemyplacement show the big companies but there are 100s of applicants and not that many companies offering them. Do smaller companies do them and is it just a matter of speculative applications. Looking Home Counties/London area.
Is it better to delay graduation for more internships? I did one internship but when I compare myself to other students within my major I feel behind. Everyone seems to have 2,3, or 4 internships already. I never knew how people would have the time to do that while trying graduate on time.
UGrad Wahoo in a tight bind here. I have my choice between two summer internships, and my career goal is eventually to go into VC/PE. I have two internship options this summer: a VC arm of a 3B AUM PE Group: - unpaid - likely no return offer - extremely compelling Recs - really rare exposure for UGrad student Small accelerator team/fund within Large Software company - likely return offer - competitive pay - compelling Recs for Consulting (bosses are HBS and ex-Mck)
What made your internship special and why did you want to join your firm? Think, fun things or small touches that went a long way, too.
MBB manager in Life Sciences: struggling to find a good exit. VC/PE - feels like consulting toolkit not really useful, and I’m competing with analysts. Big pharma - in my country too pharmaco not hiring consultants. Startups - don’t sponsor visa. Feels stuck! Any ideas/advice?
I am graduating with a degree in PR and a lot of internship experience. Do you think taking a post-grad internship with a major agency is a good entry point? Or should I hold out for full-time?
From a compensation perspective - who makes more money? Investment Bankers, FAANG product managers, or MBB consultants? Over time, who is most likely to make more money?
How do top consultants create really good visuals or dashboards without being exceptionally talented with data cleaning, manipulation, and visualization software such as power BI or tableau. Always hear that MBB consultants don’t have to be technically savvy (e.g. alterx, tableau, etc) but don’t get how you create insights without being great with data.
Resume/LinkedIn question: I am a senior student graduating in a couple of months. I am going to join Google this fall as a SWE. My previous work experience includes an internship at Google, and a summer spent working on open source (PostgreSQL) during Google Summer of Code. In addition to a lot of college coursework projects (CE major). Most of these projects are worth mentioning and they cover a diverse range of fields. At what point should I drop coursework projects from my Resume/LinkedIn?
Does MBB, Strategy&, LEK, ATK etc allow rotational programs in different countries (London, UK, etc)? How competitive are those rotations to get into?
Hello Community, I did my graduation in Bsc IT in Nov 2020. After that I did a internship and Training in Business Analytics. Although, I belong to IT background my programming & logical skills aren't that good enough. I am thinking to start my Career in SAP. However, I did consultations, meet people but many of them suggested for SAP ABAP and as ABAP is a pure programming language for SAP. Please Help & Suggest me a better module. Alternative Modules which I sorted: SAP MM / SCM
I'm looking to refer a friend for internship, anyone wants to help? I've referred like 10 people to Acn but looks like all of them got rejected, I don't get it..
Dear MBB fishes, requesting your immediate guidance on data engineering practice. I currently have to pick one between FAANG vs MBB. Same base but 25K RSU difference. Please help me with your insights! Moving from industry in Midwest region.
I am graduating this December 2021 to get my bachelors degree. Recently signed the full-time offer as a tax consultant from Deloitte, however; HR reached out to me says that if I do not fulfill 150 credits I should consider an internship with them. What should I do in this case, when they give me offer they didn’t mention any of this. Any suggestions?
What are some good, smaller org design change management firms? West coast preferably? Not interested in Big4 or MBB. Looking a boutiquetsmall firms or agencies
Think it is really important for us to be able to talk openly about comp across firms. What ranges of salary do your firms have at the junior level? Below is my understanding at Deloitte, but others please correct me if you know of anything different for Commercial Consulting. I know titles will also be different across forms but should be able to match them up. Level 1: Analyst - $80-90k Level 2: Consultant: $90-110k Level 3: Senior Consultant (post MBA): $140-165k Level 4: Manager : $150-180k
PwC, my RP just confirmed we will have bad news soon too. Does anyone know whether that means layoffs or small bonuses?
Which Big 4 firms still give partners lifetime pensions? I know EY and KPMG stopped lifetime pensions.

What does your firm allow you to count towards non-billable hours other than standard business development?
Padding my billable hours like
Tracking my NW over the past 3 years, monthly average savings is $2K. This is a mix of pre tax savings (401K,ESPP) and post tax savings (IRA,cash). Is this a good place to be in or need to save more?
Thinking about opening a Roth IRA. Recommendations for where to open one (considering fees, etc.)? I might also roll my 401(k) over if I switch jobs and would like to use the same account for both.
What happens if you don’t meet utilization targets in a year? I switched from audit to advisory and have been here 2 months and my billable hours are way less than I was expecting (avg 30 a week). I’ve had good feedback on my projects and ask for more work in my down time, but the change of pace from when I was in audit is stressing me out.
Good morning ladies! I asked the question below in the main consulting bowl but didn't get many responses and am hoping to get more opinions here. Would you think that there would be any harm in applying to two positions in a relatively small company?
Got a 44 V / 44 Q on a recent GMAT practice exam. I was a finance major at a reputable state school and have mostly A’s (and a few B’s) in my quant heavy courses. If I score similarly on the real exam, is the high V enough to offset the lower Q? Applying to T10. I’m a white female if it matters and am trying do either consulting or tech (i.e. nothing super quant intensive).
Hi everyone! Is anyone working at A&M willing to give me a referral please? Happy to jump on a call to discuss my background and credential before you refer me as well. Thank you!

Are computers still down from the attack? Wonder if companies have some kind of insurance for this kind of thing or is money going down the drain by the second?
Any single moms who raised boys? My first kid, I grew up as an only child with no brother, and really clueless as to how to raise a boy. I’d have an easier time with a girl since I kinda know how
