Do the interviews. If it works out, then that's a future problem, but easy to solve...if it doesn't, you can stay at KPMG. No risk situation...
I really don’t think you have to hide that you’re at KPMG. Like no one at Bain is going to question why you’d leave KPMG for Bain; just make sure you’re clear that Bain was “always your top choice” or whatever so they see it as being out of loyalty and preference than lack of reliability.
You should for sure let them know you're at KPMG. Any consulting experience better than no consulting experience. Only a plus
Only leave for Bain if the title / and money is significant in the long run. If that’s not there, try to just keep the contact so you have someone to reach out to in the next level of your career
If op is ambitious then definitely go to Bain if not I think it is valid what I was saying -- namely 25% is not enough of an increase.
