I’m in tech implementation for a specific product, think SAP, Salesforce, Servicenow. Eventually I would like to move out of consulting and pay is top of mind. I’ve got three options and looking for some second opinions:
1 - stay at Deloitte, comp ~130
2 - move to the product company in professional services role, comp ~150
3 - move to f500 end user in product manager role, comp ~130?

I’m about to complete the third step of that evolution (started at D doing implementation, moved to SF ProServ, about to accept offer to F500 as product manager). I honestly got tired of being on the delivery side and was ready for a change, to have more power to sent the direction of the product/platform, rather than just working out how to make the implementation work.

Hey that’s awesome, good luck. Would you recommend going to salesforce still or skipping the step? I still somewhat enjoy delivery work

Yoe? Comp is low

5 but I live in a t3 city so no NYC salaries for me

Do you like the product? I was in the same boat and stayed at Deloitte a little more so that I could exit to tech and just do management, rather than tech.

I would stay at Deloitte then. No one does services better than Deloitte, that’s one thing I learned after switching to the product company. Stay up to the point that you get stagnant here and then switch to a tech firm.

I report to my director who reports to our SVP, and I’ve worked for this Fortune 20 company for 10 yrs. Any info would be helpful. Thank you!

I have two job offers from start-up companies:

Option 1 - well known fintech company and about to go IPO. Will be doing corporate tax. Probably will turn into hybrid of WFH/coming into the office.

Option 2 - series A (been around about 3 years). Tax operation with high possibility of being exposed to other areas in accounting and finance of the company. Fully remote.

Compensation from both companies are the same. I would appreciate some advice on which option would you choose and why.

Looking for recommendations on a good book/resource on how to manage people, especially when you’re managing teams to achieve tight deadlines and also overall leadership for those teams. Currently on a project with tight regulatory deadlines and feel like I’m struggling to push people without pissing them off. Great learning curve for me and a good read seems timely. TIA!
