How is the market in Dubai for consulting, are you guys busy/hiring?

If an industry employer told me they would make a decision within 7-10 days of my interview, and yesterday was the 10th day but I didn’t hear anything. Is it safe to assume I did not get the job?

Never been in an SE or consulting or B2B sales role before but have a referral at Salesforce and have been in some informal conversations. I’m starting to freak out a bit now that maybe I can’t do it. I have a tech background so can handle that part, but perhaps strategy may be difficult. Hiring manager said during first interview that my location / remote status doesn’t matter and he has no concerns with hiring remotely for the role. When I enquired about offer letter last week, hr replied in mail that "Since your education under blacklist with cognizant, we are unable to process with your offer. Many of college alumni are already working with cognizant. Even mailed them what part of education is blacklisted but they are not replying.should I still expect offer letter from them?

When you say your salary jumped __x, how is that exactly calculated?

Mine was $16k (minimum wage before joining corporate) > $40k (contractor total before getting laid off) > $150k (current FT)?

Is that a 260% jump or 2.6x from $16k to $40k?
And a 375% jump or 3.75x from $40k to $150k?

Or do I calculate it by hourly rate?
