I’m looking at a $160k OTE offer in Austin, Texas, and I genuinely can't tell if that's a killer salary or just middle-of-the-pack for the local market. I’d be moving from Ohio, but the cost of housing in Texas has me stressing over whether a $75k base is going to stretch as much as I think it will. Ours is every March but it is a variable number based on how we do the prior year (duh obviously) but also only my boss gets to decide and he gives no criteria on why he chooses what he does.
