Hello - hope everyone is having a great weekend. I'm looking into risk assurance opportunities at Meta, especially Application Manager, Controls (min 5 YOE) and Manager, Compliance (min 12 YOE). I am a Senior Manager with 9 years of IT risks assurance experience. Does anyone have any thought on which position I should apply? If anyone currently at Meta could share your experience, that would also help. If anyone is open to providing referrals, I could provide my background. Facebook (Meta)

I was at Crowe in Audit. People are generally nice and welcoming. It’s not uncommon to develop close relationships with partners, unlike big four. Hours for me were slightly better than big four, but not drastically better. There aren’t many perks except for a fitness reimbursement (I think they might have gotten rid of that) and they cover $50 worth of your cell phone bill. The SF office was supposed to be really nice and updated.
I was in IT audit & felt like it was disorganized. People are nice, but you can find nice people anywhere. No perks other than the $50 cell phone bill reimbursement.
Pro 1: Work life balance is good. No one cares or even notice if you work 30 hours one week to catch up from doing several 60s or 70s.
Pro 2: Was doing wfh by choice well before Covid and stressing less about when/how/why return to office than other outfits.
Con: They don't live out their values when times are tough. They were the only top 10 to go with layoff as first answer to Covid when all other firms implemented other options first. And that was after communicating internally up to a week before layoffs were the last option.
