From recruiters that have reached out to me they said I should expect 120k-140k. But just wanted to confirm this is true
If recruiters are telling you to ask for that, then start there.
Or higher if you’re feeling good about yourself. You should be able to get the top end of the band with your experience and awards.
I think it was between 90-110 a couple of years ago (my title on here is old).
120-140 seems in step with cost of living rising. I hope you can get that, but just know the market has been pretty bad.
This seems pretty accurate. Although 90-110 is way more common than 120-140. I’d say 110-120 tends to be the cap for most senior role job listings.
Also, another thing you gotta fight when looking at generic ranges is the difference in the Advertsing Sr. AD (which is a couple years into your career, nowadays) and the Design House Sr. AD (which can be closer to an advertising ACD role, in my opinion. Takes longer to get there)
And of course, LinkedIn, Glassdoor etc can’t tell the difference in these roles because they are identical on paper. So the salary range includes the low end and high end of each.
In that case, I think a realistic range tops out at 110, maybe 115 if you got awards.
But of course, if the recruiter can get you more, shoot ya shot.
120-140. If you have awards ask for 150
Considering 145-190 is ACD territory. I think OP is safe starting higher.
I got the job btw, at 130k
100
Some digging says a generic range is anywhere between 100k and 140k. Some margin of error is higher and lower, there are always a ton of factors to consider. Where specifically you are going and what competing similar places are currently offering. Seems like companies being within a normal range isn’t as likely anymore.
