I’m planning to move to Seattle from NY, does anyone know recruiters from Seattle with potential tax positions there? My background: 3+yr in public (financial services), 2+yr in private (management company). I’m also open to switch out from investment management tax if possible. What are some exit opportunities I have? Really looking for some wlb here..

We are hiring in Tax AM and you can be based in Seattle working on clients there and in CA. Happy to get your resume in front of right person.

Unrelated but I have a question.
Is there a reason why you want switch out from investment management Tax ?
The reason I’m asking cause im moving form PA to wealth management Tax. So I don’t know if sucks that bad

I think private rlly depends on the firm, I know some of my friends in private have better hours.

I have realized I grew up in a household where my dad did not treat my mom as an equal. He belittles her, is rude and convinced his way is the only way.

It is painful to say, but some of this shows up in me and in my relationship. I am starting to catch myself, and it to me seems to be more of a reaction than anythjng that is ever intentional.

Wondering if anyone has dealt with something similar, and any success in making changes besides therapy. Cont. in comments

Should I refer my SO to Google?
(Does she have a real shot?)

She's a Project Manager at a global auto parts manufacturer.
Her role is 30% technical, 70% business (meaning she has good problem solving and stakeholder mgmt skills).
5 YOE+Degree at a top engineering school in Europe
My experience at Google made her interested in joining the company, but we never really acted on it.
Could she be a good fit?
If so which areas/orgs?

(Also, are there any rules against it?)
